Hi All,

Not too long ago, I switched over to a new, solid-state drive (SSD) and my first install of Windows 7. Of course, my old install of Maplestory was still sitting on my old hard disk drive (HDD). I tried launching the game under compatibility mode and as administrator, both from the install folder and from the Nexon website (source: w7forums). However, it would still nag me with the following error message :( :

To possibly fix this error without having to re-download or reinstall Maplestory, you could try manually creating a registry entry via RegEdit as follows:

I did that and it fixed that first error :P but only to be graced with a new error message :'( :

Because Nexon only hosts the manual patch for the absolute latest version, rather than scouring the Internet to hunt down dozens of older manual patches, I decided to bite the bullet and just re-download and reinstall Maplestory at this point. In any case, hope this info helps some of you avoid the hassle of a reinstall in the future :D
