Today i woke up late but got to el nath 30 minutes early for our zrun which was at 2:00est (Tuesday). I dced once because of the thudnerstorm but i managed to get back on 10 minutes before the run started and i saw everyone still there. I waited for several minutes there, i waited and i whsipered Ron several times and asked him when will i b doored? He simply ignored me and i tracked him i saw him moving from The enterence tot he alter and the enterence to the door, then i got fed up and so i bought a DM scroll (i believe this is the 2nd time i had to buy one), and i ran there as fast as i could. I managed to arrive before they summoned, but everyone al;ready went into the alter. I whispered Ron and told him "WTH u frogot me", no response. they summoned zakum, no response. I was the first one to sign up for the zrun, and i arrived early and i even asked him to door me, no response. To me, i don't think peerless zgroup is treating its members properly. i am currently waitin for their run to b over, and no one ahs given me a response. I am hoping somthing changes because this is BS. |

Okay BallinSinx, this is what happens when you are not a member. Members > Guests. oh and please realize that you ARENT the only one whispering me and be thankful that we take you into runs because you dont even have tt10, tell me if you find another group that will take you in for free? |

lol, So your saying that you guys are the onl one's that will take me in? I'm in 4 other groups but i can't run with them because they have different time schedules. And i understand that Members>Guest but it's important to TELL ME that i'm not coming, you know what? Instead you let me stand there looking like an idiot for 30 minutes and didn't evn tell me that i can't come, at least then i could train and get a higher level...but instead you just ignore me, next time treat your guest with proper respect. |

You shouldnt be complaining one bit, 30min isnt the end of ur world, im Sure Ron didnt intenonally ignore u. Being a host for zakum takes alot of energy, alot of people msging at once at the bitter moments till entering the altar. Seeing that ur lvl 121. and looting a free Triple Throw you have no right on bashing ron. hes doing his job as a host, When i speak of a Ex Co host for radiant zakum. i will say that HOSTING ZAKUM is stressful, and ron really doesnt need posts like these. Ron is a nice of a guy to let u run get a free tt10, he'd easily replace u with a much stronger char. -Arno |

Aspects of Maplestory make it an extremely frustrating game at times. For example, it's horrible design that Zakum is not instanced, meaning each channel only has one. It's horrible design that people need to travel to El Nath to summon Zakum. It's horrible design that players get dc'ed at Zakum. I've always said there should be a Zakum button that warps all parties to a Zakum instance not related to any channel. Don't even get me started on hacking and GM unresponsiveness. The result is an environment of heightened tension in the game. Further, these problems are compounded by a low immaturity level of players compared to players of other games (partly due to age). This is what a Zakum host has to deal with. It's almost a miracle that Beran groups even began killing Zakum successfully and in a civilized manner. As I've previously mentioned in a similar thread, my wish is that people will take a step back and realize that although they may blame and hold resentment towards each other on issues or other drama that comes up in the game, it's the game's poorly thought out and poorly implemented design in many areas that deserve true resentment. Unfortunately, many people do not realize this because their entire gaming world revolves around Maple and just Maple. You will see that other games do not any of these problems and have a GM team that actively listens and incorporates people's suggestions on a weekly basis. Maplestory's GM staff is hardly responsive to any complaints in general (just look at the ghacking debacle), and as a result people lash out towards each other. Hate the problems caused by the game, not each other. Recognize this game for its strengths (socializing, legit and respectful community). Where it falls short (actual gaming or excitement), look to other, great games (Guild Wars, Lunia, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, World of Warcraft). If you still need to lash out, lash out at the game design and at the GM's. This topic is closed. |
